Petition to Save our Parks
The following is a copy of the petition we are now circulating to all interested parties:
PETITION TO SAVE BRONX PARKS
TO MAYOR BLOOMBERG, BRONX BOROUGH PRESIDENT CARRION, THE NEW YORK CITY COUNCIL AND THE NEW YORK STATE LEGISLATURE:
WE, THE UNDERSIGNED, ARE OPPOSED TO THE TAKING OF MACOMB’S DAM AND JOHN MULLALY PARKS BY THE CITY AND THE YANKEES FOR THE PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT OF A NEW YANKEE STADIUM. ALL PARKS BELONG TO THE PEOPLE AND MUST NOT BE USED FOR PRIVATE DEVELOPMENT. WE DEMAND THE CITY COUNCIL AND STATE LEGISLATURE REPEAL THEIR VOTES TO ALIENATE MACOMB’S DAM AND MULLALY PARKS.
NOS OPONEMOS A QUE EL AYUNTAMIENTO DE LA CUIDAD Y LOS YANKEES SE APODEREN DE LOS PARQUES MACOMB’S DAM Y JOHN MULLALY, PARA LA CONSTRUCCION PRIVADA DE UN NUEVO ESTADIO PARA LOS YANKEES. TODOS LOS PARQUES PERTENECEN A LA COMMUNIDAD Y NO DEBEN SER USADOS PARA NINGUNA CONSTRUCCION PRIVADA. NOSTROS DEMANDAMOS QUE LA ASAMBLEA DEL ESTADO Y LOS LEGISLADORES TIENEN QUE REVOCAR SUS VOTOS DE ENJENAR LOS PARQUES MACOMB’S DAM Y MULLALY.
Please help us get as many signatures as possible. To get your copy of this petition, email us at savebronxparks@yahoo.com. Copies are also available at our Monday meeting on October 10 (see previous post for location).
