"Recognizing the True Value of Trees" Arlington's Earth Day 2006

Recognizing the True Value of Trees
Arlington's (Texas) Earth Day 2006

Trees clean the air. One mature tree absorbs 26 pounds of carbon dioxide per year. The same tree cleans up the pollution created by a car that drives 11,000 miles per year, as well as gives off enough oxygen for a family of four.

One large tree may reduce air temperature by 10 degrees. Trees provide man with a natural uplifting spirit and home to wildlife.

I will try to get my co-op board to plant more trees on our mostly lawned property along HHPkwy in Riverdale. I am also trying to get them to use pourous concrete instead of asphalt in the parking lot. ***ic***
